Galvanised Iron/Colour Steel
The Defendercote resurfacing system.
1. The roof is expertly water-blasted at 3000 PSI, removing all moss, oxidised and flaky paint.
2. The roof may require repairs: neutralising of surface rust, rust hole repairs and nails fastened.
3. The colour steel/unpainted iron is finally sprayed with two Defendercote colour pigmented coats in high-gloss. This gives a sheen to the finish and a hard protective coating designed to withstand the ravages of weather.
As our Roof Coatings are coloured they avoid the problem of blooming associated with many other roof coating products. To help slow down the growth of mould, a powerful fungicide is included in the formulation.
Our Defendercote is many times thicker than normal acrylic paint. With ordinary paint an average roof can be covered with 16 litres. With our two Defendercote top coats, we apply approximately 100 litres to the same average roof size (nearly 7 times ordinary paint cover).
